1 round of Detect Magic reveals the presence of magic.
2 rounds reveals the number of auras and the strength of the strongest.
She would have 2 rounds of info. I am away from my notes at the moment, so I can't tell you exactly how many auras. At least 3, probably more.

There are 3 Auras (not counting party members) all the same strength, faint.

Rules note: Oozes are immune to critical hits. As well as Precision damage. I suspected, but figured I'd just leave that up to your behind the curtain magic.

Is Surallel suffocating?

Rules say you can hold your breath for 2x your Con score in rounds. Surallel's Con score is 11, I think. He has been sealed for 2 rounds. So he will not be suffocating for 20 more rounds.
Not looking at the rules right now, so some of that may be mistaken.

So what magic items were left in the first room? With the sudden ooze issue, I lost track, and am unsure where to find the previous post on the matter. I know there were three potions and a cloak, but were there others?

Back with the Vegepygmies. I have 3 scrolls, 1 potion, and the cloak.
If you look in the satchel that was floating in the ooze, which you know contained magic auras. There are 2 scrolls and 1 potion.

Oops. Forgot to give experience for the Cube. 800 XP split 5 ways, is 160 each. My signature is now updated with this new XP.

Done. Sorry, I only just thought to check this thread for posts. Been a little bit out of it for a few days.

Is the small hole big enough to squeeze through, or do we need to dig it out to make it big enough?

The hole would be very tight. The party would need to squeeze. The tunnel remains narrow as far as the party can see.
Realistically, someone wearing full plate would find it extremely difficult, if not impossible to squeeze through. But i am not aware of any special squeeze rules for heavy armor.

So, I guess we'll backtrack to the closed door we found on the first floor...?
