Tessa, looking at your character sheet, you are missing two known languages. She has an Int mod of +2, so you would 4 total languages known.
Tengu would be the most common language (apart from common) where she is from, probably followed by gnome.

I'll just add Gnome and Tengu to my list then. If they're the most common then they'd make the most sense.

Does Tessa have any ideas as to what languages the Vegepygmies or the Dark Creeper speak?

Based on her knowledge rolls, Tessa does not know if the Vegepygmies have a language, or even the ability to speak.
Dark Creepers, dark folk in general, have their own language. Those dark folk who work with others, typically also learn Undercommon, as that is the dominant language of the Underdark. Should have put that in the knowledge spoiler, I will amend it.
Certain assumptions on language could be drawn, from the combined knowledge and/or from the scene before Tessa.

Mild Cliffhanger here in the story. Surallel's player is currently out of town, attending his brother-in-laws wedding (whoop whoop). I could NPC Surallel for this interaction, but I would rather not.

Better crickets in heat than frogs. Ever been near a waterway during the frog mating season. Now THERE is a loud orgy of invertebrate sex.

Unless Tessa knows that Surallel is full of shit, we better just roll initative as Rothga is prepared to defend the honor of Tessa and Ravna.

From all enemies, foreign, domestic, real or imaginary?

If anyone intends to make a hostile act (one that would require the rolling of initiative), let me know, or just roll it, or preferably both. Would Rothgar (or anyone) wait for Tessa's evaluation before attacking an apparent threat? Or apparent slight to the honor of your comrades?

You COULD call out Surallel's bluff but think of team morale and the ensuing awkwardness.

maybe he will come clean afterward and you all can have a good laugh as you are washing bits of celery off your weapons and armor

Perhaps Tessa should take her fox form and scare the beejeezus out of those mold jerks.

Rothgar will wait for any response from Tessa before attacking. We'll post after work today.
