SurallelThe paralysis has worn off. Tingling numbness still pervades your limbs, but they are functional, and getting better every second.

Surallel comes to life gradually. He slowly rises and spits and spits and spits and coughs a little.
"<spits>..<spits>..<spits>..Bleeeehhhhhhhhhhh. AND the after taste! Ugh! I had a burning sensation all over! I don't think it seeped into any orifices below the belt. But I'm sure I'll find out in the coming days. Anything good in the satchel?"

Tessa's eyes leave Ravna for a bit at Surallel's query. "A healing potion," she replies, "and a few magic scrolls that might prove useful. I take it you are feeling a bit better?" She appears to still be on edge, waiting for Ravna to pronounce the fungus dealt with.

Rothgar moves next to the door to the next and waits for Ravna to finish dealing with the fungus.

RavnaAfter a quick and careful examination. You are reasonably sure that the fungus in the jar is inert. After the initial burst, no new spores rise from the jar. Within the jar, you can only see a reddish-brown sludge.

It worked!
Ravna pushes the tinted glassicals up into her hair, leaning back on her heels. I mean... it worked. Like I knew it would. Yes... if Surallel's functional, let's get a move on. I'm beginning to like this place less and less.

"Yes, assuming all this magic nonsense is over with, let's proceed. I believe it would be best to continue checking this floor." Darvan then moves up to the closed door in the room formally occupied by the cube and proceeds to listen for anything on the other side. Perception +3: +3 Wis N6|yGIQP1d20+3 1d20+3

Surallel shakes out his pant legs and rustles some cube remains out of his hair. He then takes position behind Darvan.
"Magical nonesense? You're only chastising the cosmic fabric that makes up existence. What does your religious order say about that? OH! And I nominate Rothgar open the next door. He seemed to handle that cube pretty expeditiously."

Tessa moves past Ravna and Rothgar, next to Surallel, and casts Cure Light Wounds on the sorceror.

The door creaks slightly has Rothgar flings it open on its ancient hinges. This room, much like the previous room appears to be an old store room. Remnants of shelving, casks and barrels lies strewn about the room. In the corner of the room, a vaguely humanoid creature sits on a sturdy looking box. When the door opened, he was humming (or perhaps singing) to himself. In its claws are several spears or javelins and great gobs webbing. While he has several weapons in his hands, none appear is ready condition to use, though that could likely change quickly if he is prepared to use them. When the door flies open, he stops what he is doing and looks at Rothgar. He seems deeply surprised. A moment later he speaks in a high pitched voice, barely more than a squeak. ummmmmm, he-llo? He remains sitting on his box, but cranes his neck to try and look out the door into the previous room. Where Thax?Sense Motive DC 10The strange creature obviously has a loose grip of Common. Whether this is ignorance of the language, or slow wits, is not clear. The creature's posture is not agressive. While it was clearly surprised when the door was opened, he did relax somewhat when he saw Rothgar, and the others in the room. Apart from the spears in his hands, there are no visible weapons that can be seen. Sense Motive DC 15The creature seems confused, and worried. While he doesn't seem to register the party as a threat, he is clearly tense and worried. His question is full of concern. Sense Motive DC 20You get the sense that the creature is slow in the head. He is afraid, but apparently not of the party. You feel like he is not sure how to react to the party's appearance in the storeroom, and perhaps he is looking for 'Thax' for guidance. Knowledge Dungeoneering DC 13This creature is an Ettercap. They are akin to large spiders, except for their large humanoid bodies. They tend to live in deep, dark forests, and shy away from others. They are quick and hearty. They are more intelligent than beasts, but are extremely dull by human standards. The one exception, is their incredible intuition when it comes to traps. They frequently surround their homes with elaborate traps, preferring traps to physical confrontation with enemies. If their traps are bypassed, they will typically engage with claws and a poisonous bite. Knowledge Dungeoneering DC 18Among an ettercap's favorite traps are deadfalls, webbed nooses, and spear hurling traps. Ettercaps also have an affinity for spiders, often using large spiders as humans use watch or guard dogs. In addition to its use in traps, ettercaps can use their webs to entangle foes, typically by throwing gobs of it from a distance. Their poisonous bite, typically makes their enemies slower (Dex Damage) and therefore easier for the ettercap to evade. Ettercaps are not typically aggressive or hostile. Their traps typically used to defend their homes or catch prey.

The far wall of the storeroom has collapsed slightly. The finely carved facade on the wall has fallen away in the center. revealing rougher stone behind, and raw earth further on. At the base of the wall, a small hole has been roughly hewn, perhaps the cause of the wall's collapse.
